BOGOTA, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Colombia's oil production reached 725,000 barrels per day in November, Mines and Energy Minister Hernan Martinez said on Thursday.
The government had said recently it expected production to surpass 800,000 bpd next year.
Colombia is now Latin America's No. 4 oil producer as it enjoys a "miniboom" in foreign investment in its petroleum sector, thanks in part to better security under President Alvaro Uribe.
The government expects investment to surpass $3.5 billion in its oil sector next year.
Bombings, kidnappings and killings related to the country's waning guerrilla conflict have eased as Uribe has sent troops out to reclaim parts of the country once under the control of illegal armed groups.
