ROCHESTER HILLS - The solar cell maker Energy Conversion Devices Inc. says it's cutting 400 jobs in Rochester and Tijuana, Mexico, because of slow demand. The company says the cuts to its work force of 1,900 are part of a restructuring and will save $17 million at a time of dropping sales of its thin-film solar cells. I Nation
