Cairn India is set to begin a 3D offshore seismic survey of its licence block PR-OSN-2004/1 in offshore Andhra Pradesh. A 3D survey is a precursor to actual exploration, depending on the block’s reserves. Preliminary work for the 3D survey had been completed. The survey is likely to begin this month and would continue for two months.
