ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- ExxonMobil says it will begin drilling at Point Thomson at the end of this month.
The oil company spent this summer re-supplying the site as part of a summer work program.
ExxonMobil says it will produce approximately 10,000 barrels into the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System by the end of 2014.
The development comes after a legal struggle between ExxonMobil and the state over control of the field.
Point Thomson is a natural oil and gas field on the North Slope of Alaska.
