New windfarm application lodged

May 12:

Gaelectric Developments Ltd has lodged planning permission for the construction of a windfarm at Rin, Ferbane.

They are seeking to build two turbines of approximately 125 meters(max hub height 85mtrs and blade diameter 82.4)  along with an electrical sub station at the location.   

Gaelectric lodged their application for plannning permission with Offaly County Council on Tuesday, April 28.
