Crude oil hits fresh 2015 high

Crude oil futures climbed overnight to settle at their highest level of the year after a U.S. government report revealed the first weekly crude-supply decline since January.

Prices, however, finished below the session's best levels, with analysts blaming the pull back on profit taking following a 25% gain in April.

West Texas Intermediate for June delivery settled up 0.9% at US$60.93 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
