CHECK OUT THIS 16-YEAR-OLD'S GENIUS WIND-POWERED PHONE CHARGER
A Hungarian teenager has invented an ingenious way to charge his phone.
The 16-year-old, known only as "Thomas", has made a wind-powered charger that attaches to the handlebars of his bike.
Not only do the raw materials required to make the charger cost less than £3, but "Thomas" has posted a free-to-view video of how to assemble it on Instructables.
It's pretty straightforward, too. By the looks of things, you'll just need a soldering iron, a glue gun, some pliers, electrical tape and one of those green craft boards you used to get in tech class. Might be worth wearing some goggles, too, just so you look like you know what you're doing.
Apart from the creative element, you can feel good about yourself for upcycling, too - the fan is salvaged from a PC, and you'll need the battery from your old Nokia to turn any breeze you catch into an electrical current.
Nice one, "Thomas". Way to make us feel like we achieved nothing today.
