Brent below US$109

LONDON: Oil prices eased yesterday as investors await congressional testimony by the United States central bank chief for fresh clues about the state of the world's biggest economy, analysts said.

New York's main contract, West Texas Intermediate for delivery in April, was down 16 cents at US$102.43 a barrel in midday deals.

Brent North Sea crude for April dropped 63 cents to US$108.89 a barrel.
