Obama’s message is convenient for his political plans

After being on the “campaign trail” for over a year trying to sell his health care plan, President Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress finally had to shove the plan through, despite all the credible polls showing that the majority of the American people were against it.

Now, he continues on that trail by holding select town-hall meetings while trying to convince us that it is a good deal. And, to top it off, the theme of his latest rhetoric is the following: “Before we find out if people like health care reform, we should wait and see what happens when we actually put it in place.”

Perhaps the president doesn’t wish to remind us that the vast majority of the provisions don’t kick in until 2014 and later? Gee, right after the next presidential election?

If this law was so great, you’d think he’d want everything to kick in immediately so it can sell itself. His plea for patience is typical of his entire agenda so far — self-serving and aimed at his political narcissism rather than the truth or actually helping the American people.
