China's State-Run Oil Firm Plans to Ship Gasoline to Iran

A state-owned Chinese refiner is reportedly planning to ship 30-thousand metric tons of gasoline to Iran a move that's seen as aiming to fill the void left by European suppliers who halted sales to Iran ahead of possible new UN sanctions.
Ship brokers in Singapore said Unipec the trading arm of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation or Sinopec plans to load an oil tanker with the gasoline on Thursday.
Earlier this week China's deputy Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai said although Beijing is ready to discuss options by the UN Security Council to deal with Iran's nuclear program the Islamic country's legitimate right to have energy trade with other countries should not be undermined.
