BEIJING, March 7 (UPI) -- Chinese officials say water levels are dropping in a flooded coal mine where 31 miners have been trapped since March 1.

The mine in is north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the state-run news agency Xinhua reported.

Rescuers said they found no sign of life as of Sunday morning at the Luotuoshan Coal Mine in Wuhai.

Water levels had dropped nearly 34 feet by Sunday morning, and were falling lower, rescuers said.
