China shows interest to invest $2.5 bln in Pak-Iran Gas pipeline Project

ISLAMABAD: China has expressed its keen interest to invest of $2.5 billion in Pak-Iran Gas pipeline Project.

Pakistan also started talks with China to purchase technical equipments to be used in laying down gas pipeline.

Reliable sources of Petroleum Ministry told Online that China is interested to extend the Gas Pipeline Project into its area and a Chinese delegation would visit Pakistan in the second week of next month.

After inclusion of China, Pakistan would get an amount of $200 to $500 million annually under the head of transit fee.

According to sources, talks are underway and Pakistan has raised no objections over inclusion of China in the Gas Pipeline Project.
